A message from our Headteacher
A warm welcome to Beacon Primary School. We are all very proud of our school and our aim is that all children feel the same – Proud to believe in their abilities and confident that they are in a safe and happy environment which allows them to be ready to learn and develop a positive attitude towards their learning.
Beacon is a place where everyone is valued for their individuality and can develop their potential through quality experiences. We feel that effective education is based on a strong partnership between school and home with the child being at the centre. We strive to build good, honest relationships with all our parents and carers. We plan many exciting and engaging activities each term and strive to make learning both challenging and fun. We aim to offer the children first hand experiences on which to build their skills and knowledge.
We aim to promote self-discipline, good manners and co-operation. Our values are:
We want your children to be aspirational and we aim to teach them learning strategies in order for them to develop a real love of learning. At Beacon the focus is very much on Achievement for ALL and for ALL to succeed.
We hope you will take every opportunity to engage with us and open communication is key for this to happen. Our school is very much a community where all voices are listened to and valued.
We have a fantastic and very popular breakfast club which enables the children to socialise with other pupils of all ages across the school and engage in play based and academic activities.
All the staff at Beacon Primary believe that together in partnership we can support, develop and nurture all members of our school community – Like a Beacon of light we want our children to shine and ignite the passion and belief to become the very best they can be and become lifelong learners.
We value extra-curricular opportunities within school and offer a variety of free after school clubs from Music to Ju-Jitsu – Please encourage your children to make the most of these opportunities. As part of the Horwich Cluster of schools we also regularly participate in inter-school sports competitions.
We hope you enjoy our website. If you would like to see any further information on it, or have any comments to make, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org– we really value feedback.
We look forward to working with you in partnership to enable your child to flourish and succeed.
